So I havent been on here much lately, trying to get business moving. We have been busy around here lately, Hayley has the normal allergies for this time of year along with myself! I have been working a lot of my photography lately but trying to find something else to supplement my income here.
So I was just reading this morning and researching a lot of things. I found this breat blog online called Inspire Me Baby. They are having a great giveaway for The New Whole Shebang Action & Textures by Paint the Moon Actions & Textures go check it out at Inspire Me Baby Blog for this Giveaway I would love to win this great set!
So our cloth diapering adventure continues we went to a diaper swap that was held at Cutie Poops and Bottoms it was absolutly awesome and was a great turn out. I donated a $150 gift certificate to the for their raffle. I am hoping this person actually takes advantage of the FREE money this time. As I gave away 2 gift certificates at an Expo I did in May and the people never called to redeem them.
Here is a current picture of Hayley and Connor! Enjoy!

Our Weekly Visit To...
Today Michelle and I decided to get out of the house today with only 1 of the 5 kids we have combined between our two households. So Michelle, Connor and I took off to Cutie Poops and Bottoms for our weekly (or twice a week trip). I have been having some problems with keeping poo in the diaper and not all over. So of course I head up there to get some advice. They are always a great help up there. I go a Happy Heinys cover and a Bummies cover. I also paid for a Happy Heinys Monkey print Pocket that should be in today. Since Connor loves his WubbaNub Monkey. We have been leaning towards a monkey theme for him.
I have also been meaning to clean up the studio a bit so I can get Connors 3 Month Pictures done, but we have just been so busy lately with daddy leaving and just life in general I have just not had any time. I need to get around to this either tomorrow or Thursday. I have got to get his pictures done soon. Then when daddy gets home we have to get family pictures done also.
Back to Cutie Poops and Bottoms they are having a buy, sell, swap event on September 25th and I have offered up a free sitting for one of their giveaways for the event. I am so excited for this event as I really want to start expanding business in the Chicago Area.

LONG DAY!
Today was a very long day. We got up this morning and started to pack to come home. Grandma decided she wanted to go to breakfast before we headed out. So off we went. Breakfast was ok, then we went to fill up the gas tank while we had Aunt Tay with us so I didnt have to take both kids out of the car. Then headed back to the in-laws to pack the car. We left around 12:30pm Ohio time. We then get stuck on on 80/90 for about an hour, I then had two screaming kids in the car and I had to go to the bathroom so bad. Luckily we got moving and made it home about 5pm Chicago time. So thanks to my great neighbors they did all the lawn work while I was gone and cleaned my house even. I couldn't thank you guys enough.
We did get word yesterday that Pat is being deployed to Afghanistan, he will leave for training in March. The only thing that really sucks is that he will miss Connor's first birthday, Hayley's Fourth birthday and our fifth anniversary. It is a bit Heart-wrenching that he is going especially knowing that if he was 41% disabled and not 40% he would not be deploying.

It's HOT
So today was not as bad as the past few days but it is still pretty hot an humid out here. Grandma and Grandpa took us out to an awesome Mexican restaurant called the grasshopper. It was great. Connor has been sleeping most of the day away in Aunt Tays air conditioned room. Finally I got him up and went down the road to go swimming. Hayley finally figured she can swim by herself with her life jacket! Yay now I can actually take her to the pool without her hanging on my neck the whole time. Here is a picture of Hayley and her uncle Cody swimming in a friends pool.

Our Day
So yesterday my Grandma wanted me to take her over to get a baby shower gift for my friend Michelle who is due in October. Both of us have decided to take on cloth diapering. She really got me into it about a month ago and now I am hooked. She made a very good point when she said that we already do laundry why not add diapers in there with it. So since then we have found Cutie Poops and Bottoms in Orland Park, Illinois. Previously we had been visiting Comfy Bummy's in Naperville. Honestly I like Cutie Poops and Bottoms a lot more.
The two times that I have been there they have been really nice, awesomely helpful and just joys to be around in general. So we went and got the shower gifts and a few things for the Con Man. My grandma got Connor a Memory Foam changing pad for traveling and a bamboo fitted diaper and I got Connor a Thirsties diaper cover and some new laundry soap for the prefolds we already have.
I think I am honestly hooked on this whole cloth diapering thing we have so many covers now! My grandma also got Hayley a pair of "potty pants". Hayley is potty trained but we do still have some problems during the night that we continue to work on.
After our Journey to the diaper store then I had to rush home to take Michelle to the Dr for her weekly appointment. The Dr. then sent her over to the Hospital to be monitored. So we sat there and sat there and sat there. Finally they released her at about 3:30pm. All while I had planned to leave for Ohio at 3pm. Needless to say I was not going to leave my friend sitting a hospital by herself.
So we finally got on the road about 4:30pm and headed to Ohio to see the in-laws and daddy. Daddy is at his yearly training for the National Guard. It usually is only supposed to be two weeks but this year it is almost a month long. Both Connor and Hayley cried almost the whole way. Finally I stopped and got Hayley some dinner and fed and changed Connors diaper. I changed him once then went to get Hayley some food and sat down to feed Connor and he decided to leave me a little present. Oh joy thanks a lot bubba. Got to the bathroom once again and realized I didn't have the wipes with me, they were in the car. Oh shit what do I do? Put a poopy diaper back on him and drag both of them back to the car or try and get the poo off with toilet paper. Neither of them sounded to appetizing to me so I tried to TP thing and that 1 ply crap was just not working. So all while im trying to tell Hayley to get me more another lady walks in with a baby. She asked if everything was ok and of course what do I say "NO, I forgot my wipes in the car" as any other mother would do she whipped hers out and gave me a couple. I couldn't have thanked her more.
So we finally reached our destination of Gam Gam and Papas at about 10:30 last night. The kids were so excited. Well Connor was just excited to get out of his car seat. But Hayley on the other hand was running around like a crazy chicken till after midnight.

Meet the Heier's
We are currently a family of 4. My name is Teresa and my husbands name is Patrick. We have two children; Hayley who is 3 born on May 14, 2007 and Connor who is currently 13 weeks who was born on May 3, 2010. Patrick and I have been married since May 20, 2006. We met in Manhattan Kansas where he was stationed at Ft. Riley on active duty orders for the Army.
Patrick deployed to Iraq in February 2007 while I was still pregnant with Hayley. He returned for R&R in May just 3 days before Hayley was born. He then returned to Iraq for another 11 hard months. We welcomed him home with open arms on April 14, 2008. The month after he returned home was really busy with planning a birthday party for Hayley to traveling to see friends and family. Finally when July came around Patrick decided not to continue with his Military career and we packed up and moved to Ohio to be closer to his family.
In early 2009 Hayley and I moved to Illinois to be closer to my Grandmother that was starting to get ill. Through this time Patrick and I had been having a lot of relationship issues due to not having jobs and just the stress of living a totally different life than we were used to. We finally made it through a lot of ups and downs and Patrick moved to Illinois.
Thank you to my wonderful Grandmother we have a roof over our heads. In August 2009 Hayley had to have her tonsils and adenoids taken out and that's when we conceived Connor, lets just say OOPS. Oh well the more the merrier i guess.
So we moved into our house in November of 2009 with the help of my mom the house was all unpacked with in a week. Since we moved in we have developed a great relationship with our neighbors on one side of us. They have 3 kids, Peyton, Cody and Riley.
Riley is almost a year older than Hayley and they have a love hate relationship. I think they act more like sisters than friends. Cody has CP and i think that's what brought out my love and need to work with disabled kids. Its always something that I have wanted to do but I really want to make it happen now. Peyton, he is just in a world of his own, I swear he is the Energizer Bunny. He is my biking buddy now. On Monday night Pat surprised me with a brand spanking new Hybrid Bike. Peyton and I took a LONG ride on Tuesday afternoon in 90 degree weather with the blazing sun. I used MapMyRun to see how far we went and it came up with 2.03 miles. That is a long distance for a kid who just learned to ride a big boy bike.
So I plan to update this about everyday to keep a journal of our days, so when the kids are older they can look back and see how life was when they were kids.
*Patrick joined the Ohio National Guard in July 2008 and continues to serve his country in this way. As of right now he will be heading to Afghanistan early 2011.
